The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is the “gold standard” for PV and solar thermal installation certification. Designed to raise industry standards and promote consumer confidence, NABCEP offers certification and certificate programs to renewable energy professionals throughout North America.

Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency

DSIRE is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Established in 1995 and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, DSIRE is an ongoing project of the N.C. Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council.

American Solar Energy Society (ASES)

NorCal Solar Association (NCSEA)

The Northern California Solar Energy Association (NorCal Solar) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization whose mission is to foster the development and application of solar energy through the exchange of information.  Since 1975, NorCal Solar has advocated for the passive, building integrated, active PV and solar thermal industry inspiring tens of thousands of people to support and adopt solar energy technology. Throughout its history, NorCal Solar has maintained its role as an information portal for industry professionals, policymakers, advocacy groups, the media, and the general public by serving as a leading unbiased information clearinghouse.

California Solar Energy Industries Association (CalSEIA)

California Solar Energy Industries Association supports the widespread adoption of solar thermal and photovoltaic systems by educating consumers, supporting solar legislation and conducting business in a professional and ethical manner.

Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA)

SEPA’s Membership is comprised of electric utilities, solar companies, and other companies with an interest in solar electricity. From research projects and national events, to one-on-one counseling and peer matching services, SEPA is the go-to resource for unbiased and actionable solar intelligence.

California Solar Center, Solar Forum & PV Alliance

Californiasolarcenter.org is designed to be a prime source of information on solar energy activity in California. Californiasolarcenter.org was created and is currently managed by The Rahus Institute, a 501c3 non-profit organization, working to promote greater use of renewable energy through education, research, program and policy development. Californiasolarcenter exists only on the internet. There is no physical place as yet, though that may be something for the future.

International Solar Energy Society (ISES)

ISES has been serving the needs of the renewable energy community since its founding in 1954. A UN-accredited NGO present in more than 50 countries, the Society supports its members in the advancement of renewable energy technology, implementation and education all over the world.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory
