Warming With Sun
solar thermal water heating is the heating of water by the use of solar energy. Solar heating systems are generally composed of solar thermal collectors, a fluid system to move the heat from the collector to its point of usage. Solar Hot Water Heating has a wide selection of uses, from home, business and industrial uses to heating swimming pools and even radiant floor heating and space heating and cooling.
In many climates solar water heating systems can provide up to 85 percent of domestic hot water heating. In many northern European countries, combined hot water and space heating systems are used to provide 15-25 percent of home heating energy.
Like many of the other alternative energy sources it is on the rise. It is still slow to pick up in the United States but in other countries such as Europe is a huge and popular alternative source to hot water heating. It is also used as a space heating alternative but this is much more obscure than other uses. Domestic hot water is the most common use of solar thermal and then pool heating is very popular also. Solar Water Heating Training has picked up as other solar energy sources have and now has its own industry certification for installers and an Entry Level Certificate Of Knowledge is under development by the industry certifying organization NABCEP. Once this entry level certificate is released it will be more important to ensure any solar training your taking meets these new standards so that you can put it towards the installer certification and entry level certificate. We have marked the courses we have listed on this site to indicate rather they meet NABCEP approval for the installer exam and once the entry level certificate is released we will update the courses to show which have gained approval for that certificate.
